Snippets of Guilfoyle's address were promptly put into North Korean contexts and she was also compared to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' character Rita Repulsa.

Kimberly Guilfoyle’s speech at the #RepublicanConvention seemed to make way more sense with North Korean propaganda music in the background.

Guilfoyle was just one of a number of speakers at the RNC's first evening. In his address, Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz praised President Donald Trump as a visionary and claimed that a Biden presidency would lead to a variety of dystopian scenarios including an invitation for the violent gang MS-13 to 'live next door.'

Maximo Alvarez, a Cuban businessman whose family fled Fidel Castro's regime, was also praised for his remarks on Monday evening, in which he argued that free health care and defunding the police were 'false promises' which 'sound familiar' to what he had experienced in Cuba.

Former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara praised Alvarez's speech, and, in a dig at Guilfoyle's, welcomed the businessman's 'volume control.'

Agree or not, Maximo Alvarez gives by far the most effective speech of the evening. And extra points for volume control.

The St. Louis, Missouri couple who came to prominence after pointing their firearms at racial justice protesters walking past their home also spoke at the RNC.

Mark McCloskey claimed that the 'radicals' who protested outside of his house also want to 'walk the halls of Congress,' stating: 'This is Joe Biden's party. These are the people who will be in charge.'

Democrat Georgia State Rep. Vernon Jones praised Donald Trump in his address and accused members of his party of trying to keep Black people on a 'mental plantation.'

Jones, a Black Democrat, endorsed Trump on April 14 and resigned his office the following week, after which he quickly rescinded his resignation, saying that he would not allow the party to 'bully' him into 'submission.'

'You may be wondering, 'Why is a lifelong Democrat speaking at the Republican National Convention?' Jones said. 'That's a fair question. And here's your answer: The Democratic Party does not want Black people to leave the mental plantation they've had us on for decades.'
